3 Best Laptops (Mid-Range) For Every Use Case In India

February 16, 2021 by varunshrivastava 1 Comment

It has been a long time since I reviewed a product. But recently I had to research the best mid-range laptops that are available on the market because one of my friends called me and asked me to pick a laptop for her. I’m always waiting for such opportunities. So in this article, I will be sharing the top 3 best laptops that can be used for almost every normal use case.

Table of Contents

  • 1. Acer Predator Triton 300 Intel i5 10th Gen 15.6″ Full Metal
    • Intel i5 10300H 10th Gen
    • 15.6″ FHD IPS 144Hz Display
    • Full Metal Body
  • 2. Asus ROG Strix G15 (2020) Core i7 10th Gen
  • 3. ASUS TUF Gaming F15
  • Conclusion

1. Acer Predator Triton 300 Intel i5 10th Gen 15.6″ Full Metal

I will start my list with the beast itself – The Acer Predator Triton 300.

In fact, this is the one that we ordered. Just by looking at the highlights of this laptop, you would start to fall in love, literally. At this price range, Acer has produced a pretty amazing laptop. There are no other laptops in the market that competes with this one at this price range. At least I didn’t found any.

Let’s see the highlighted features first,

  • Intel i5 10th Gen
  • 15.6″ FHD IPS 144Hz Display
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti
  • 512GB SSD
  • Full Metal

Intel i5 10300H 10th Gen

This processor has been the most popular when it comes to value for per-core performance. And it is competing with some really awesome processors out there. Here’s the benchmark for most popular comparisons for Intel Core i5 2.5GHz processor.

It gets a really good average score of 80.3%.

See for yourself 🙂

reference: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/1027882/IntelR-CoreTM-i5-10300H-CPU—250GHz

This shows that the CPU is really the best at this price range. And it has a consistent performance across varying computational loads. Perfect for our needs.

15.6″ FHD IPS 144Hz Display

When I read this spec, I didn’t believed it. I mean how can it give 144Hz display at this price range. Usually 144Hz display comes up with high end laptops. And predator gave that in this one.

After knowing this, it was a no brainer. I had to buy this one.

But wait 144Hz must be complimented with an equally powerful graphics card, right?

Well, that box is also partially ticked.

It comes with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti graphics. I wouldn’t call it all-powerful but as long as you are not a heavy gamer, you would get away with it. And that is why it mentions in the title itself – Light Gaming Laptop. But if you are using it for video editing or general-purpose use, you would love it.

If you have never used 144Hz display before, after using it, it would be hard to get back to 60Hz displays.

Full Metal Body

I don’t know how they did it at this price range, but they did it. And that is all it matters.

The body feels robust and reliable except for the display panel. It seems more flexible than it should (may be that’s how they desinged it) but apart from that the entire body of the laptop is super sturdy.

They have also tried to give it a futuristic look. Which in my opinion is pretty good. You should see it for yourself.

These three are the main highlights that I wanted to talk about, after that everything is pretty much what you can get with other laptops at this price range.

You can purchase the same from below link:

  • Acer Predator Triton 300

2. Asus ROG Strix G15 (2020) Core i7 10th Gen

This was the one that we considered at first but since we were getting everything it has with Predator Triton 300 that too in 10,000 INR less, so we went with that one.

I mean paying 10,000 would definitely make sense if you want more computational power. If you are data scientist that deals with a lot of data every day (I’m talking about GBs of data processing) or a heavy video editor then paying 10,000 extra would be better.

But that is all you get with this one when compared with the Predator.

Rest I found everything similar.

So, here are the highlights of this laptop,

  • Core i7 10th Gen
  • 512GB SSD
  • NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 Ti
  • 144Hz Display

You can check out the full specs on amazon.

  • Asus ROG Strix G15 (2020)

3. ASUS TUF Gaming F15

This is the one that we almost bought. And you should buy it if all you cares about is the spec.

Let me simplify this for you.

This laptop has the same specs that of Predator Triton 300. I mean exactly the same. In fact, it comes with something extra and that is 1TB HDD alongside 512SSD. Too much data in your hand.

Another thing that will convince you to buy this one is that it comes 5000 INR less.

But, the thing that made us choose Predator was the build quality.

It’s a complete plastic body and by the looks of it doesn’t attract that much. The keyboard is pretty average and the overall feel is not that appealed us. So, it didn’t fit in our checklist.

But hey, if you are after the specs then this would be your best choice.

Here’s the hightlights for this one:

  • 15.6″ FHD 144Hz
  • Intel Core i5-10300H 10th Gen
  • GTX 1650 Ti 4GB Graphics
  • 1TB HDD
  • 512GB SSD

You can check out more images on Amazon.

  • Asus Tuf Gaming F16

Conclusion

This list is based on my research done in January 2021. I hope this was helpful. And in the future I will add 2 more laptops to the list but so far I didn’t found any other laptops in comparison with the ones I have shared in this article.

Maybe I need to research more :p
